Happy Saturday, fiction lovers - it’s an especially exciting Saturday, because the program for the 2025 Festival of Fiction is now live, and tickets are on sale!
We barely know where to start to tell you about the incredible writers we have coming, but let’s mention a handful:
WA writing royalty is in the line-up this year with Tim Winton in conversation in the Writers’ Theatre on Sunday.
Every kid or grandkid in Australia has loved Mem Fox’s Possum Magic or searched for the illusive Green Sheep, and Mem will join us both days of the festival.
Crime fiction lovers: do you dare attend “Everyone on this panel has killed someone?” You will when you know it features Benjamin Stevenson, Dervla McTiernan, Alan Carter and Emma Pignatiello.
And we are also so excited to welcome Melina Marchetta, Christos Tsiolkas, Tasma Walton and over 60 other brilliant authors.
You can read about the full program for both the Readers’ Theatre and Writers’ Theatre now on our website.
Our special weekend passes sold out in three minutes on Thursday night, so don’t wait too long to get your day passes!
Festival director Tess Woods has been busy today, appearing on ABC Breakfast and featured in the West - you can see that below - so word is spreading fast. Don’t miss out on being part of the biggest book-lovers’ event in Perth this year. See you there!
Devastated to be away!
Amazing! Can’t wait.
